Certification

NewLife is changing directions with it’s certification and training process. Evaluation of the process to date has left us wanting. Though the ministry has been quite successful, that success has been limited. It is time for the next phase, the next advance of the ministry.

The new process will be in the form of a program, as compared to just a process. In the past we have provided Certification for persons (members of local churches), and then provided hands-on direction and assistance in developing the local counselors’ ministry procedures. This has worked, but it has not had the success that we were looking for. This fact alone was enough to prompt NewLife to look for a way to improve on how we offer Certification and training for prospective counselors.

We call this new process: The Counseling Certification Program. It will provide for new trainees and counselors to develop their counseling skills at their own pace. This will result in even more success once the counselor actually starts counseling.
