Training & Courses These courses are offered as packages to local churches, either by way of having our instructors come to your church, or, providing the materials to you for your instructors. As well, if we can get enough students, we may hold the course at our facilities. The purpose of this course is to help the student understand some of the basic tenants of Christianity. The ideas and ideals presented are important for the student to understand. We will show the student in a logical fashion what a relationship with Jesus Christ is like. As much factual information as possible will be presented while keeping with a general survey format. Intended for the new Christian, and those who just want a refresher. 10-12 week course (depending on the students)Topics Include Christian Basics,

His children, that will motivate them to trust Him completely when things go
wrong? Brokenness is that character quality that separates those who feel
they have much to give God from those who have been prepared by God to be
used by Him for His glory . . . there is a difference! -
4 week Course Have you been called by the Lord to minister to others through counseling? Have you made a decision to make yourself available to people for the purpose of encouraging them? Are you willing to become Jesus to those around you who are hurting? A 10 session basic course on the fundamentals of counseling. This course is a prerequisite for the more advanced counseling courses. Students who complete this course will receive a certificate of completion. This course can be taught one night per week, or on two
consecutive Saturdays. Becoming One - A 4 week exploration of what the healthy marriage looks like. Students will learn important principles on which to build the "house" of their marriage. Topics include: Building Spiritual Faith Keeping Your Commitment The Men Women Love (to hate) - The woman’s daily struggle with men - A seminar for women ONLY. This two (2) hour seminar helps women realize why they have made, and in many cases, continue to make, the choices they do in men. They will learn how certain destructive patterns are formed early in life, and what they can do about them. Topics include: Do Men Behave That Way On Purpose? Things you can only blame God for Is There Something Wrong With Me? (Or, Why Women Choose These Types of Men) Childhood Trauma and Personal Violations So Now What Do I Do - Learning to Set Boundaries that Work Understanding the Destructive Patterns Marriage Seminar
- 6 weeks of exploring the many faceted institution
of marriage. What are the four reasons for getting married taught in scripture?
You’ll be surprised by the answer. Is divorce ok? What about separation? This
seminar explores biblical teaching about marriage and God’s feelings about it. 6 weeks seminar - There is a necessity for a local church to focus on "equipping the saints for ministry. This seminar stresses the need for, and the value of, diversity of function in the body of Christ. It also provides direction on how we, as a local congregation of Christ, can facilitate "equipping the saints for ministry"In the first two lessons, the emphasis is on the "need"
for a congregation to be concerned about equipping its members for service.
Learning and then NOT doing results in "fat" Christians, who are always
"eating" the Word, but not "exercising" it. During the three (3) weeks of
this course, the student will learn what the bible teaches about fasting, as
well as teaching on Jewish customs concerning fasting. Not for the weak of heart - this 20-23 week college level course will train the serious student in the correct interpretation of the Word of God. This course is primarily intended for the clergy and lay leaders who also minister in the church through teaching and preaching. On the other hand, More motivated Christians may also benefit from this course by leaning how to "correctly divide" the word. This course includes a semester final test. Students who complete this course will receive a certificate of completion. Course includes : Introduction to Hermeneutics Definition of Hermeneutics
As with Hermeneutics, this 12 week course is intended for the clergy and lay leaders who also minister in the church through teaching and preaching. On the other hand, More motivated Christians may also benefit from this course by leaning how to conduct the appropriate research for personal Biblical study. Students will learn beneficial research habits; how to
develop a study and/or sermon outline; Three-point Sermon, and Expository,
outlines for preaching the Word. Included in the course is hands-on training
on how-to-preach, with additional training on body language, vocal cues, and
manner of presentation. Students who complete this course will receive a
certificate of completion. This 12 week course will introduce the student to a different way of reading the Bible. Students will review selected stories and passages from the Bible and identify such things as : When did this happen? Who was involved? Where did this happen? What is God trying to get across to us? Why did things happen this way? How did the environment affect things? How did politics play a role? And much more Students will
never read the Bible the same way again. Students who complete this Learning To Minister Like Jesus The purpose of this 4 week
seminar is to provide a Biblical overview of and a practical model for
healing in the Kingdom of God. Our goal is that the student will be
encouraged and motivated to pray for the sick in the power of the Holy
Spirit. In 12 weeks, students who
take this course will become very acquainted with many aspects of Jesus’
life and ministry. Students who complete this course will receive a
certificate of completion. Come and be challenged in why you believe what you do.
Perspectives of God will provide the participant the opportunity to view the
Scriptures from an "eternal" point of view. We will consider and research
the reasoning and conclusions that led Biblical characters to choose and
behave the way that they did. This 10 week
course will force you to think like God does. It will draw from you
perspectives you have yet to consider. What does the Bible really teach about prayer? How does it
relate to the modern day Christian? What are the results one may expect
realistically from prayer? Is there a right and wrong way to pray? Learn how
to pray the "Biblical" way. All this and much more in just a
12 week course. Students who complete this
course will receive a certificate of completion. This 10 week course covers
Biblically based principles that will help the student to establish a sure
foundation for their walk with the Lord. This is a course is a prerequisite
for both Homiletics and Hermeneutics. Students who complete this course will
receive a certificate of completion. A one 2 hour seminar on
Biblical answers for this difficult-to-deal-with subject. The session
includes an extended time to allow for questions and answers from the
participants. This 13 week course was
prepared to be taught to a local church. This is not technical or scholarly
study, but rather a practical study of the tabernacle. "Journey through the
Tabernacle" will help the student better understand his daily walk with God,
and strive to better express it. Journey Into Spiritual Maturity Using the Book of Colossians as the backdrop, this
13 week course will "paint" a picture of
spiritual maturity as taught in the Scriptures. This course is applicable
today because people are looking for something that works and makes a
difference in their life. Something that will challenge, yet offer a way to
become more like God wants us to be. Journey Into Better Relationships First Corinthians thirteen is the greatest passage ever
written on relationships. It gives us the basic ingredients we need for
building better relationships. We were created for relationships, and when
our relationships are not right, we can’t really enjoy anything else in
life. By applying the principles in the great love chapter we all can have a
"journey into better relationships," which will make everything else more
enjoyable. 13 week course The "spirit world" is the real world around us. It is the
world of God. Satan, angels, demons, heaven, and hell. To live as God wants
us to in the physical world, we must have a clear, Biblical understanding of
the spirit world. This course will not only be fascinating but also a very
practical "journey into the spirit world." 13 week
course. This course is an exciting and informative study of the
basics of discipleship. On this 26 week
"journey," this course will teach students will obtain a basic knowledge of
who God is, who they are, the problem of sin, God’s remedy, how to study the
Bible, how to pray, and other fundamentals of Christian discipleship. The focus of this 6 week
course is on people. Through the lessons of this course, the student will be
challenged and taught regarding how to best witness to others about the
greatest news in human history, the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
